This campaign calls to end the housing crisis within a generation. Campaigners have taken to social media (#homesforbritain) and are touring major cities all over the UK, sharing the belief that everyone has the right to a “decent affordable home”. Below is a photograph inside one of the campaign tents spotted by PIMS in Manchester Piccadilly gardens.
What are their main goals?

Financial Freedom- Many people in the UK report to have felt the effects of poverty. According to the Homes for Britain website, in most parts of the country, low wage earners work over half a week just to pay their rent.
Long-term Housing Plan – The campaign calls for the next government to publish a long-term plan for housing, within one year of being in office. The plan should set out how the housing crisis will be ended within a generation.
House Building – Ensure that politicians continue to keep building houses until everyone has a decent affordable homes.
General Election 2015 – The run up to this election was seen as an important time to make one last big push to show politicians what they want, what the issues are and encourage the public to get involved.
