Vetting Check List

Prior to issuing tenant keys we recommend you review the following

Have you
  1. Received a completed Tenant Application Form 
  2. Completed a Tenant Credit Check report FREE to members click here
  4. Received the Tenants most recent Bank Statements
  5. Checked if your Tenant is Bankrupt or subject to Debt Relief Order click here 

You should at least know the following personal details

  • Next of kin for emergency and useful to trace absconding Tenants
  • Bank details for completion of the standing order form
  • Employer Name and Address and viewed pay slips
  • Guarantor name
  • Mobile phone number 
  • Email address (this is required by Deposit Scheme)
  • Are you confident you know the identity of the person(s) you are renting to: check photo ID Passport, Driving licence and proof of current residency Utility bill etc for Tenant Credit Check report   

Have you received references ?

If claiment on benefits additional checks required and ask they complete pages 39 and 40 of the 41 page claim form which Tenants must complete to be entitled to benefits
