SMS Communications (Text Messaging)*

SMS Communications (Text Messaging)

By providing your mobile telephone number to PIMS (Property Information Made Simple), you agree that we may contact you by SMS (text message) in accordance with the terms below.

1. Purpose of SMS Communications

We may use SMS messaging to contact you regarding:

  • Important updates relating to your membership
  • Legal or compliance alerts (including Renters’ Rights updates)
  • Service notifications and reminders
  • Responses to enquiries or support requests
  • Occasional service-related information relevant to landlords and letting agents

We do not use SMS for unsolicited or unrelated marketing.


2. Consent

By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive SMS messages from PIMS where:

  • The message relates to a service you have requested, or
  • You are an existing member and the message relates to similar services

Where required by law, we will obtain explicit consent before sending marketing messages.


3. Opt-Out / Unsubscribe

You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any message received
  • Contacting us via the website: https://www.pims.co.uk/contact-us/
  • Calling our helpline: 0800 999 7467

Once you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS messages (except where required for essential service communications, if applicable).


4. Message Frequency

We will only send messages where necessary. Frequency will vary depending on:

  • Your membership status
  • Your interaction with our services
  • Legal or compliance updates affecting landlords

5. Charges

PIMS does not charge for sending SMS messages. However:

  • Standard message rates may apply depending on your mobile network provider

6. Data Protection

Your personal data, including your mobile number, will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and:

  • UK GDPR
  • Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations

We will not sell or share your mobile number with third parties for their marketing purposes.


7. Service Reliability

We will take reasonable steps to ensure SMS delivery; however:

  • We cannot guarantee message delivery
  • Delays or failures may occur due to network issues outside our control
