Solicitors have christened January 5th as "National Divorce Day" and the after effects of festive "home truths" in this time of year, means there are new prospective tenants looking for homes.
Sadly figures show that throughout England and Wales over 40% of marriages end in divorce and January and February are the prime times for people moving out of the home. This does not include people in long term relationships that are also affected by Christmas.
A question one should consider?
This time of year also sees an influx of new "accidental landlords" as again some may be affected by their own relationships or financial circumstances. Those entering into the private rented sector may not be properly versed in all of the intricacies of rules and regulations surrounding renting out properties.
