The chief executive of a leading PropTech supplier to the lettings is one of the 121 business directors who have signed a letter supporting Labour in the General Election.
The chief exec of Goodlord’s (PropTech supplier) Willima Reeves is one of the signatories in the open letter to The Times, which says: “Labour has shown it has changed and wants to work with business to achieve the UK’s full economic potential. We should now give it the chance to change the country and lead Britain into the future.”
The signatories 121 include the likes of founders, chief executives, and ex-leaders at an array of financial services, manufacturing and retail firms made sure the release of the open letter coincided with Labour’s shadow canceller Rachel Reeves first major election speech to campaign supporters.
Ahead of the 2015 election, 100 corporation leaders backed the Conservatives, however one of those the founder of Iceland, Malcom Walker, has now switched to Labour.
The signatories include JD Sports chairman Andrew Higginson and Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, former Heathrow Airport chief executive John Holland-Kaye, and the well-known TV chef and restaurateur Tom Kerridge.
Work and Pensions Secretary Mel Stride when speaking to the BBC was at pains to point out that there were not any chief executives of the UK's very largest FTSE 100 companies who signed the open letter.
