According to a leading property website the best places to invest in cities to capitalise on student properties are the University cities of Hull, Glasgow and Manchester.
With average rents of over £1,000 a month for student four bed-roomed properties coupled with low house prices in Glasgow comes out on top for investors. Landlords will enjoy the best rental yields in the UK of approximately 4.95%.
Hull came second with the rental yield of 4.8% with Manchester coming in third with 4.59%.
The property website’s figures were calculated on gross yield before expenses and tax were deducted.
