Prevention of Section 21 - Retaliatory Eviction Bill

The "Retaliatory Eviction Bill " had a further reading Friday 28th November 2014 if passed at the second reading the way in which Section 21 Notices are served and relied upon will changed forever.   • The critical points - If the Tenant complains of disrepair No section 21 may be relied upon until the proven breach is remedied. Nor may a section 21 be served until after month 4 of a tenancy commencement date NOR more than 6 months before application for possession   - overview click here
  • Updated 28th Nov 2014  2.30 - The debate on BBC Parliament TV there shall be further reading Friday 21st January 2015 with the vote the likely to be passed; initial test vote 60 yes and 0 no the bill cannot be voted through as requires a minimum 100 votes.
