The UK's leading estate agency board specialist states that the letting market's activity rose considerably during November.
Throughout the UK the number of new 'to let' listings increased by 13.9% in the last twelve months and for the listings in November of last year had only increased by 3.4% on its previous counterpart.
The amount of 'homes' that were let in November had fallen by only -1% during the same period, whereas in the corresponding month in 2015 it was down by -6.2% .
The Property Activity Index recorded that out of nine of the twelve regions that were included in its report, there was considerable growth in numbers of new lets availability and seven had seen an increase in properties let in the market.
The nine regions that 'enjoyed' growth in numbers to let included :- South East up by 49%, South West by 29%, Wales by 20.5%, North East by 15.8% and East Anglia with 12%.
Those regions that increased their numbers of properties that were let included: Yorkshire & Humberside up by 7.1%, East Anglia by 6.7%, with East Midlands by 5%.
The index also reported that central England had experienced a shift downwards in the number of new listings to let during November at -5.2% and numbers of 'lets' achieved down by -6.8%.
Stephen Watson, managing director of the UK's largest estate agency board specialist, said: “A robust come back of the UK rental market this month. Following what was an unexpectedly slow October, the increase in this month’s figures has redressed the balance.
“Now we move in to December where a seasonal slowdown is expected it will be interesting to see how the year-end figures stand.”
