New research states that the Capital is experiencing a considerable fall in the amount paid for tenancy deposits over the last few months.
A deposit company claims that the average tenancy deposit has fallen by £49 from £1,860 in Q3 2014, to the end of last year where it stands at £1,811. The new average fee is still higher than the average for 2014.
The report also highlights London’s tenancy deposit in comparison to the North East's, which is a staggering £1,244 difference.
Average tenancy deposits are standing at £1,226 an increase of £52 over the last year.
The East Midlands enjoyed an 11% (£67) increase up to £679 per average deposit but the West Midlands experienced a decrease of 5.3% (£42) to £747.
Happier news for the North West where there was a £24 (3.9%) increase to £650, but the North East suffered the largest decrease with a massive fall of 31.6% down by £263 to become £567.
The Welsh overall tenancy deposit charge dropped by 23% (£197) to the average total of £657.
