A private Indian is one of the new players entering the buy to let market and looking to offer buy to let mortgages through preferred partners. The bank is one of the India's largest private financial institutions and has already established one London based branch. It offers the usual services for insurance, investments and savings.
Its preferred partners are a number of specialist buy to let distributors and together they are going after professional landlords.
The services being offered include limited company loans, HMOs and expats. There have been rumours circulating around the PRS since April 2014 that the bank was making plans to enter the UK's buy to let market.
UK head of buy-to-let mortgages of the bank, Andrew Ferguson said: ‘Our launch is scheduled for late March and we are excited by the opportunity ahead. The specialist buy-to-let sector is a growing market that we believe we can serve well. We expect to deliver competitive products, flexible criteria and personal service that ensures an attractive proposition for brokers and landlords.’
