Terrence Howard, the Hollywood actor, who came to prominence in the film “Crash” and is best known for his role in the “Iron Man “ series of films is being sued for not paying his rent.
Celebrity news website, TMZ, said that Howard’s lease at his New York City apartment expired last November; however he continued to live there until May this year when he was handed an eviction notice.
TMZ managed to get their hands on the court documents showing Howard being sued by his landlord for outstanding rent and legal fees; it did not show how much the litigation is for.
A spokesman for the Hollywood star has not issued any comments so far and the actual landlord has not yet been named.
This is not the only legal action that Howard is currently involved in as his ex-wife is taking him to court for “beating her badly” during an argument earlier this month and is attempting to have a restraining order placed on him. The alleged attack apparently took place in Costa Rica
He is strenuously denying the allegations and TMZ claims that they have obtained a police report in which he said that the pair just had a "normal married fight" which became more heated when she supposedly threatened to kill him and his family and started to attack him with pepper spray.
Howard and his ex-wife divorced in May, she had also accused him of assaulting her after only one week of being married. The couple married in January 2010.
