The far from quiet media darling landlord Fergus Wilson, is once again in the news as the millionaire BTL investor has now been ‘slammed’ with a High Court permanent injunction.
Ashford council was the authority that took Wilson to court.
It has now been ruled that the landlord can only contact councillors or council staff via a named legal advisor.
The case was split into two with the first part of the proceedings taking place in February, the Kent Online news website reported that Wilson had on numerous occasions told councillors to kill themselves between February 2016 and July 2020.
Kent Online reported: “[The representative said] Mr Wilson's behaviour had made workers feel harassed and intimidated, with some receiving emails from him on a daily basis. Officers, employees and councillors felt bullied and distressed, being unable to respond properly to allegations, some of them being reduced to tears, he added.”
In the latest court appearance Daryl Allen QC has had "no hesitation" in awarding the permanent injunction.
He said: "The defendant’s conduct repeatedly went far beyond merely irritating and annoying, it was deliberately offensive.
“It included numerous unfounded allegations of professional misconduct and criminal conduct. It included multiple threats of criminal or other legal proceedings which were never pursued."
Fergus Wilson has for countless years been a highly controversial and outspoken figure fighting councils’ never ending tape and was accused of making racist comments which he vehemently denied.
Over a year ago in June an online business publication Insider Media claimed the couple’s wealth was around £140m.
