In his first few days of being made Prime Minister and as predicted, Boris Johnson has completely changed his cabinet which included two new housing appointments.

Robert Jenrick replaced James Brokenshire as the newly appointed Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.
In 2014 Mr Jenrick became the MP for Newark and by January 2018 he was appointed as the Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury. He was also the youngest Minister under Theresa May's government as well as being the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Home Secretary.
Prior to becoming involved in the political arena, Jenrick was a qualified solicitor practising corporate law with international law firms, Sullivan & Cromwell and Skadden Arps.
The second new housing appointment was Esther McVey who became the new Minister for Housing, Communities and Local Government, replacing Kit Malthouse.
McVey is the Tatton MP and has worked previously in the cabinet between January and November 2018 when she was the work and pensions secretary.
Previous to her being elected the MP for Tatton in 2017, she had enjoyed five years as MP for Wirral West.
Ester McVey is widely recognised for her role as co-host of the GMTV program.
Boris Johnson intends to abolish George Osborn's increased stamp duty surcharges, and the private rented sector is hoping that the new PM does not stop there to encourage BTL investors to ease the successive governments' caused housing crisis.
