Rent book
A Landlord is only legally required to provide a rent book when it is paid weekly; it is a criminal offence not to provide a rent book in this instance.
Whilst standard rent books can be obtained from law stationers and larger general stationers they often contain Terms and Condition - Cross these out for your AST defines your terms NOT the rent book
It is always best that the Landlord keeps a record of rent payments and provides receipts for rent paid (especially when receiving cash payments), to avoid any disputes later.
