Rent Increase Notice ENGLAND ONLY - FROM MAY 26*
New form from May 2026 Tenant Notification of rent increase in accordance with Housing Act 1988 section 13(2), as amended by the Regulatory Reform (Assured Periodic Tenancies) (Rent Increases) Order 2003, and Renters Rights 2025
If the rent increase is not lawful, you could be ordered to repay the money. This is why Section 13 of the Housing Act 1988 legislation exists. It means Landlords must inform a tenant of their right to appeal against such an increase [this text by law MUST be included in the notice].
