Rent Arrears - Landlord wants Direct Payment from Council
Under Local Housing Allowance Rules where the tenant is 8 weeks or more in arrears the housing benefit are obliged to make payments direct to the landlord. You must write to the council requesting such otherwise the tenant will continue to receive the rent paid direct to themselves.
