From 1 April 2011 Her Majesty’s Court Service will merge with the Tribunal Service and will from then on be known as “Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunal Service”.

The result of this is that all cheques made payable to the Court in relation to the payment of Court fees should be made payable to ‘HMCTS’.

Fees also increase on 4 April 2011.

The main changes are:

Issuing a Claim for Possession rises from £150 to £175. However the fee when using Possession Claims On Line remains at £100.
The issue of a Warrant of Possession increases more significantly from £95 to £110.
